About the Role
Global Industrial Manufacturing company has a vacancy within an independent business unit with a sales turnover of 5.7BSEK and over 3500 employees. Global automotive and industrial customers from offices across various regions and countries are supported. To support business growth and strategic development, our client is hiring a Key Account Manager to be based on the East Rand (Gauteng). The purpose of the role is to drive the Seals business in South Africa, the Strategic development of key account customers in South Africa, and to Implement business strategies and drive profitable growth
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive profitable growth and customer satisfaction for Seals division.
- Generate new business and support existing customer development.
- Drive Machined Seals sales.
- Ensure total quality management.
- Develop and implement strategy and business plans for key accounts.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (sales, engineering, customer service, distributors, etc.).
- Analyse market trends and customer development.
- Improve customer experience and satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts and manage high-level customer relationships.
- Ensure effective sales processes and resource allocation.
- Share knowledge and success stories across the organization
- Achieve sales, profit and other agreed targets.
- Full utilisation of C4C for planning and documenting visits, activities and opportunities
- Development of profitable business
- Volume growth initiatives
- Act as a role model and ambassador for the company

- Drive change, innovation and challenge the status quo
- Responsibility for the maintenance of stakeholder relationships

- Responsible for the equipment used within the work environment
- Communicate and escalate where appropriate business critical information gleaned from customers and the distribution network
- Analysis of data to make day-to-day job-related decisions and to prioritise work in line with operational requirements
- Make quick decisions and anticipate needs and can react to operational situations in a timely and appropriate manner
What You’ll Need
- Mechanical Engineering qualification (Degree or Diploma)
- Valid and unendorsed driver's license
- Qualification in Sales and Marketing or Business Management will be added advantage
- 3 – 5 years proven industrial/engineering product sales experience in the Industrial Market
- Knowledge of various Seals product ranges.
- Experience in receiving, completion and submissions of tenders
- Proven track record, meeting or exceeding targets
- Experienced in establishing and developing strategic and new business
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent business understanding and knowledge of financial tools
- High energy levels and drive
- Knowledge of Seals products/business
- Value selling experience in the industrial market
