Enforcing Health & Safety compliance (PPE use, permits to work, lock-out/tag out procedures, etc.) Ensuring compliance with all statutory and company standards. Regular and accurate reporting to the Management team of the status of the maintenance function. Daily formal session with the maintenance team to plan the day and assign their tasks. Development and implement improved maintenance processes and policies. Troubleshooting of breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective solutions Mentoring electricians and semi-skilled assistants, providing training, coaching, and guidance to build skills and enhance team performance. Support continuous improvement projects and contributing to plant efficiency initiatives.   What you’ll need Minimum Red-Seal Trade Certificate as a Fitter & Turner OR a Millwright. Extensive experience with both mechanical AND electrical systems (including three-phase). Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance leadership role. Practical understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and automation systems. Experience with the management of small teams essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and discipline team members when necessary. Job coordination and planning experience.
